The lecture topic: Basic research and industrial application of porous biomaterials

The presenter: Guo He

Brief introduction of the presenter

Guo He, Ph.D., Professor of The School of Materials Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received his bachelor's degree from Hefei University of Technology in 1983; his master's degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1991; and his doctorate degree from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 1994. In 1994, he joined the University of Science and Technology Beijing to engage in the teaching and research of giant magnetostrictive materials and bulk amorphous materials. He was responsible for the research on rare earth giant magnetostrictive materials and the 863 casting bulk amorphous project of the Ministry of Metallurgy. Since 2000, he has been a visiting researcher (Research Fellow) of the City University of Hong Kong (2000.10-2001.4); a Humboldt Fellow (2001.6-2003.4) of the German Institute for Solid State and Materials (IFW) (2001.6-2003.4); Japan Institute of Materials Research (NIMS) ) Special Research Fellow (Research Fellow) (2003.5-2005.4). Since 2005, he has been a professor of materials engineering in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Content of the lecture:

Porous biomaterials include porous biopolymer materials, porous bioceramics, and their composite materials, biomedical porous metal materials, and porous biomaterials. The lecture will start with the degradation, absorption, and evaluation methods of porous biomaterials, biological tests, and methods of porous biomaterials focus on case analysis and summarize the relationship between the chemical composition, tissue structure, processing technology, and biological properties of porous biomaterials. Intrinsically connected, allowing listeners to understand the future direction of porous biomaterials.
